Tech Watch Project

At Tech Watch, a non-partisan, nonprofit, we meticulously study internet content and its influence on behavior. We gather data from real people across all 50 states, our “watchdogs,” to replicate online experiences. This helps us uncover online threats and safeguard democracy

We are now preserving and analyzing biased and manipulative Big Tech content 24 hours a day through the computers of a politically-balanced group of more than 13,000 registered voters in all 50 states, and we have court-admissible data in 15 states so far.

Our watchdogs play a pivotal role in preserving ephemeral online content. This scrutiny has revealed the urgency, large-scale internet content monitoring for a fair digital environment.

Join us in this crucial mission to protect democracy and normalize  transparency and accountability for Big Tech.

Tech watch project adult study

We are researching how information is shared by Big Tech companies. Our mission is to ensure that adults have access to information they are looking for when searching the web that is fairly distributed without bias or an agenda. The Tech Watch Project is also committed to protecting youth from harmful content that is all too often provided to them. To make this happen, we are gathering significant amounts of data, using filters to analyze, then identifying any trends in the data itself. If we find trends that raise ethical red flags, we will then bring that data to the public. We are currently expanding towards a fully functioning, nationwide monitoring system as we have found that to be the only effective safeguard in protecting democracy and our youth. The Tech Watch Project is the first entity of its kind to be analyzing the content shared with adults and children with the intent to rectify the nefarious behaviors if/when found in our research.

When data are streamed to us from the computers of our field agents, they are transmitted without identifying information. Unlike Google, we ONLY analyze aggregated data, never individual data.
